A heartfelt thank you to an anonymous donor for their generous contribution of a new outdoor tent. After strong winds damaged our previous one, this gift arrived at just the right time. It is especially meaningful to know this support comes from someone with ties to Micro and a family that devoted years of service to the former Micro School. Your generosity helps us continue building strong experiences for our students and community.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day!
Today we celebrate the incredible heart of our school, our office staff. Thank you for the countless ways you keep everything running smoothly each and every day. From the warm greetings at the front desk to the behind-the-scenes problem solving,. Your hard work, organization, and dedication do not go unnoticed.
You are the first smile our families see, the steady support our staff relies on, and the glue that holds it all together. We are so grateful for your commitment, your patience, and the care you show to everyone who walks through our doors.
Thank you for all that you do, we appreciate you today and every day!

What an incredible first day at Special Olympics Johnston County Spring Games 2026!

There was so much excitement from the start! Before the games began, the teams paraded around the track to the cheers of the families and friends gathered in the stands.

From 100-meter races and running jump, to tennis ball throw, and bowling, our elementary Special Olympics athletes showed incredible athleticism, determination, and sportsmanship.

Huge thanks to Special Olympics Johnston County for partnering with JCPS to put together this great event at Smithfield-Selma High.

Stay tuned for day two!

Micro Elementary is working to strengthen partnerships between families and the school by creating an Online Family Resource Hub on the school website. This hub will provide families with helpful information about academic standards, child development, strategies to support learning at home, and opportunities to be involved at school.
