Mrs. Barnes’ third graders recently enjoyed an exciting virtual author visit with Jeff Kinney, the creator of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, during media class! Students joined a nationwide Zoom call with classrooms from across the country, got a behind-the-scenes look at Jeff’s work office, learned fun facts about his writing process, and even submitted questions for him to answer.
📖👏 Mrs. Warren is happy to report that after the visit, almost all of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books were checked out—talk about inspiring young readers!
