McGee's Crossroads Middle School will be participating in the 2025 Red Ribbon Week®, which will take place from October 23 to October 31, 2025. This year's theme is "Life Is A Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free." Red Ribbon Week® honors the memory of DEA Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena by encouraging people of all ages to make drug-free choices and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

McGee's Crossroads Middle School eighth grade students will be participating in JoCo Works, an annual event held at Johnston County Community College, on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
JoCo Works is an industry-led collaborative supported by education, business, civic, and government partners, created to grow Johnston County, North Carolina’s future workforce. JoCo Works provides curriculum, hands-on experiences, and real-world career exploration opportunities.

McGee's Crossroads Middle School will be participating in the 14th Annual Socktober, an initiative to support local homeless shelters. Students are encouraged to donate socks to their homeroom class beginning Monday, October 6th through Friday, October 31st. Socks are the least donated item in homeless shelters throughout our local community. The initiative, started in October 2011, has received donations from all over the world. Please donate to this great cause as we support our community!
