Today in Biology, JCCTLA students stepped outside the classroom and into the field! Gloved up and equipped with specimen jars, they surveyed 5x5 meter plots around campus—many of which included parts of the pond. Their mission: to identify all biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) factors in each ecosystem.
After collecting their samples, students headed back to the lab where the real detective work began—examining their findings under microscopes to observe the tiniest members of their plots in incredible detail. From microorganisms to water clarity, the Wolf Pack left no element unnoticed!
