Clayton High School

Students from the Interact Club volunteered at the Harbor's Black & White Gala. These were the words from Dr. Eddie Price to describe these students' work: "It is quite impressive that high school students would give this much of their time on a Saturday night, but they did more than simply "give of their time." The students interacted with the guests (many politicians, business owners, and philanthropists), they encouraged the crowd to participate in the live music/dance, and they even danced to generate participation from the crowd. They were instrumental in selling raffle tickets and encouraged participants to engage in the silent auction. Finally, each of them remained and helped clean after the event ended. The CHS Interact students were a "hit."
