2026 Area NJROTC Manager Inspection

The Navy NJROTC Area 5 Manager, LCDR Landis USN(Ret), conducted his annual Area Manager Inspection at Clayton High School on February 10th. 

This inspection is required annually by the Commander, Naval Service Training Command, Great Lakes, IL. 

The inspection kicked-off with LCDR Landis overseeing a personnel inspection of all the cadets conducted by local recruiters. Immediately followed by a formal Pass-In-Review ceremony. The ceremony put the entire company on display consisting of the presentation of colors, an exhibition drill demonstration, remarks from Mrs. Lamantha Perry-Anthony (CHS Assistant Principal), Captain Ed Eder (Senior Naval Science Instructor), and LCDR Landis. Finally, a Pass-In-Review to honor the guest of honor by Clayton High School NJROTC Alpha Company.

In addition, the cadet staff, led by the Commanding Officer c/LCDR Bianca Mejia, briefed the Area Manager on the status of the unit and all of its accomplishments so far this year.

LCDR Landis closed out the day by reviewing the units' financial records, inventories, and cadet records. 

LCDR Landis had nothing but praise for the state of the unit, its officers and crew.
