Clayton High School

JCPS CTE and JCC collaborated to hold a Health Science Camp in the Health Science Department at Johnston Community College. 8th graders planning to enroll in the Academy of Health Science at CHS had the opportunity to visit classrooms and labs for Student Success, Nurse Aide, Medical Office Administration, Associate Degree Nursing, EMS, Sonography, Radiography, Medical Assisting, and Massage Therapy. Additionally, speakers from JCC First Year Experience, WakeMed, and UNC Health Johnston met with students during lunch to talk about opportunities in healthcare and at the community college. We are grateful for the collaboration between JCC and JCPS CTE Office that made this event possible.
