The Corinth Holders High School History Club recently spent an incredible day exploring the historic Alamance Battleground, where students experienced North Carolina history in a meaningful and engaging way.
During their visit, students learned about the conflict between the Regulators, the colonial militia, and Governor William Tryon through an interactive presentation that brought this pivotal moment in pre-Revolutionary history to life. They also toured the historic Allen House on site, gaining a deeper understanding of daily life during the 18th century.
The experience concluded with a thoughtful question-and-answer session, giving students the opportunity to connect their learning to broader themes in American history and ask insightful questions.
A special thank you goes to the dedicated staff at Alamance Battleground for creating such an engaging and memorable learning experience. The trip was also made possible through support from the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Learning Happens Here Field Trip Fund, which continues to expand access to hands-on educational opportunities for students across the state.
Experiences like this reflect CHHS’s commitment to bringing learning beyond the classroom and helping students connect with history in meaningful, lasting ways.
