Students from the CHHS DECA chapter recently traveled to the North Carolina DECA Career Development Conference, where they competed alongside more than 6,500 students from across the state. The chapter had an outstanding showing and was recognized as a Chapter of Excellence, placing it among the top DECA chapters in North Carolina. This recognition highlights the chapter’s strong commitment to leadership development and community service initiatives.
CHHS students also earned impressive results in competition. Twenty-eight students received Proficiency Awards for their strong performances, and five students earned the American Marketing Association Credential. In addition, six students placed in the Top 10 in their events.
One of the chapter’s Sales Project teams earned 2nd place and will advance to compete at the **DECA International Career Development Conference in April.
