On Tuesday, September 23, Corinth Holders High School welcomed families for our first-ever Academic Success Night—an evening designed to share important academic and college-planning information with students and parents in grades 9–11.
The event provided families with guidance on key topics, including:
Understanding GPA and course rigor
Course planning and graduation requirements
Pirate Time and student involvement through clubs and organizations
Top factors in the college admissions process
Career and Technical Education pathways and opportunities at JCC
Parents and students also received resources on testing, scholarship searches, and enrichment opportunities that align with future college and career goals.
The strong turnout highlighted the commitment of our Pirate families to supporting student success. “This night was designed to strengthen partnerships with families to ensure every Pirate is prepared for the next steps in high school, college, and beyond,” Principal Melissa Hurst said.
Special thanks go to our Student Services team for leading the evening, as well as guest presenter Rodney Allred, retired JCPS counselor and college admissions expert.
We are grateful to our families for their support and look forward to continuing to provide opportunities that keep us Anchored Together in student success.
