Corinth Holders High School hosted Senior Success Night on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, providing the Class of 2026 and their families with important information and resources to guide them through the college and career planning process.

The event drew strong attendance from students and families who heard presentations on topics including college admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and post-graduation options. Retired Johnston County Public Schools counselor Rodney Allred shared “5 Things Every Family Needs to Know About College Admissions” and offered practical tips to help students prepare for the next step after high school.

Representatives from Johnston Community College (JCC) highlighted opportunities such as the Commissioner’s Promise, which provides free tuition for eligible graduates, and the BOOST program, designed to help students transition successfully into the workforce. Military recruiters were also present to meet with families and answer questions about opportunities in the armed forces.

Principal Melissa Hurst expressed appreciation for the support of community partners and the work of the CHHS Student Services team.

“Senior Success Night is about making sure our families have access to clear, accurate, and timely information,” Hurst said. “We are thankful to Mr. Allred, our JCC partners, and our military recruiters for their support, and we appreciate the ongoing commitment of our Student Services team to help every Pirate graduate with a plan.”

As the Class of 2026 begins their senior year, resources from the event—including presentations and task lists—are available online for families to review.

Together, the CHHS community is Anchored Together in preparing every senior for success after graduation.
