Gray demonstrates compassion towards his peers, teachers, and coaches inside the classroom, and out on the sport fields. A 7th grader at Benson Middle, he is a distinguished leader. He encourages his peers to do well, and offers help when needed.

Greetings Phantom Phamily! This is Ms. Jernigan calling you welcoming you back to Q3 and the start of semester 2. ACCESS testing for our Multilingual Learners begins this week. MVP benchmark assessments for all students will begin next week February 5th. Our PTA Valentine’s Dance is scheduled for February 9th from 3:30 - 5:30 in the cafe. PTA is looking for donations for the cake walk and concessions. Items such as sports drinks, soda, water, individual bags of chips, Little Debbie Snacks, Brownies or Cupcakes would be appreciated. All donations should be turned in to the front office. Our Phantom basketball teams will travel to Neuse on Monday. Wednesday is our final home game against Selma. It is also 8th grade recognition, so make sure you come out and support our Phantoms.

8th Grade Parents! Friday is the last day for parents/guardians to purchase and create an 8th grade ad.

Attendees will be provided 15 minute information sessions about the various programs offered to 8th graders and a Q&A session.
Students are able to apply for the programs now! The application window for students wanting to attend High School Choice Programs will end on February 21, 2024.
