Every student and parent must sign a JCPS/ALMS Technology Agreement at the beginning of each school year.

This agreement allows your child to use a school device throughout the year and must be used for North Carolina or any other NCDPI testing.

For families who want to purchase chrome devices for home use: JCPS recommends Chromebooks produced within the last year with an Intel or AMD processor and a minimum of 4GB RAM (memory) and 16GB storage. The purchase of Windows/Mac laptops are not recommended by JCPS & due to network security & JCPS tech services does not advise them to be used in the schools. Please keep in mind, personal devices will not be utilized at school for student work and cannot be utilized for NC or any other district/state testing.
