Employment Application Procedures

  • NC School Jobs Johnston County Public Schools has launched a new employment application system. The new North Carolina School Jobs powered by People Admin, provides an innovative way to streamline the hiring process. Applicants will experience an enhanced, user friendly system when applying for positions. To apply for career opportunities visit the Johnston County Public Schools Job Board and sign-up for or login to NC School Jobs powered by People Admin.

    Licensed Job Categories:

    A resume is required. You will upload your resume to your online portfolio. Other job categories may include a resume, but it is not required.

    If you do not see a posting for the job(s) that you are interested in, please consider applying to the Generic Posting in the category for which you are interested (Generic – Licensed (positions that require a Professional Educator’s License), Classified, and Bus Driver). Administrative Application

  • All candidates for employment should apply online. The online application is found at nc.teachermatch.org. Remember to select Johnston County as a recipient.

    In addition to an online application, applicants for administrative positions (principal, assistant principal, and central services) will need to submit additional documents to complete your application. Licensed Application

  • All candidates for employment should apply online. The online application is found at nc.teachermatch.org. Remember to select Johnston County as a recipient.

    In addition to an online application, applicants for certified positions (teachers, counselors, social workers, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, etc.) will need to submit additional documents to complete your application. All of the required documents are listed below. If you have questions regarding any of these forms, contact Human Resource Services at 919-934-6031.

    If you do not currently hold a North Carolina teaching license, you must also submit a copy of your out-of-state license, transcripts, and test scores (if available). If you are not a licensed teacher but are interested in entering teaching through an alternative route, please visit our Licensure page for information.

Classified Application

  • All applicants should apply online in addition to completing all required supporting documents listed below. The online application is found at nc.teachermatch.org. Remember to select Johnston County as a recipient.

    An email address is required to complete the application. If you do not have access to an email account you will need to create one. A computer is provided in Human Resource Services for your use if you do not otherwise have access or should you need assistance.

    Classified Positions (teacher assistant, custodial, food service, mechanics, grounds workers, etc.)
