Empty Bowl Project Proves Successful

Our Empty Bowl night was a SUCCESS!! Out of our 100+ bowls, 87 were purchased. Boxes upon boxes of food was delivered to WJHS’s food pantry. The students had a blast working the event, setting everything up, collecting food and boxing it up, giving tickets, wrapping pottery, talking to shoppers about what to do and showing them their bowls. Courtney Murphey, the art teacher and Art Club director, said, I am so proud of them! My heart is full because of these amazing kids. I hope they take this experience and use it as a life lesson, on how to serve others and truly make a difference."
