AVID Ambassadors for March and April

WSE is an AVID school. AVID is advancement via individual determination. AVID's mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. 

 

The AVID student success trait for March was critical thinking. Critical thinking is the ability to evaluate and analyze a problem in order to make a decision. Having critical thinking skills is a trait of student and future success. Our AVID student success trait for April is independence. When children develop the desire and skill to think and problem solve on their own as well as work on their own, they are developing the skills to be a successful adult.  Having critical thinking skills and the ability to work and think independently are both skills of future success!
