Red Ribbon Week is a campaign started by the National Family Partnership. Since its founding thirty years ago, NFP has devoted its efforts to the well-being of youth. Today, NFP is a national leader in drug prevention education & advocacy. Our mission is to lead and support our nation’s families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth.
NFP provides drug awareness by sponsoring the annual National Red Ribbon Campaign™. Schools across the nation celebrate wtih Red Ribbon Week from October 23-31. In conjuction wtih this campagin, West Smithfield Elementary celebrated Red Ribbon Week from October 25-29, 2021 with a themed spirit week related to saying no to drugs. Students and staff enjoyed dressing up for daily themes and showing their commitment to "Say No to Drugs.
