WJ Grads will play Volleyball at the next level

As athletic practices resume and sports get underway with volleyball and cross country tryouts in November. West Johnston would like to celebrate two of our outstanding volleyball players from last year.

2020 Graduates Megan Bost and Madison Greene committed to continue their academics and volleyball at the collegiate level. Both athletes left their mark on the WJ volleyball program over the past four years. Some of their Wildcat accomplishments include; a 20 win season, a GNRC conference championships, through four years they have helped the program to 69 wins, lead the team in assists and kills throughout their time at West, and managed to have outstanding grades for their high school careers.

Madison Greene is in the NCHSAA record book for most career assists. She is currently 3rd in the state of North Carolina with 3,314 assists from 2016-2019. Many of these assists over the past four years went to Megan Bost, who had a great ability to finish. Madison is currently attending Barton College to play volleyball and study for the Bulldogs. Barton College is a member of the NCAA Conference Carolinas Division II.

Megan Bost wrapped up her WJ Volleyball tenure with a career total of 1,000 kills over four years. Megan is currently attending Randolph-Macon to play volleyball and study for the Yellow Jackets. Randolph-Macon is a member of the NCAA Old Dominion Athletic Conference Division III.

Both Madison and Megan are great examples of the Wildcat Athletic work ethic; working hard on the court and in the classroom.  Their legacy of dedication and excellence will inspire future teams as they pass the torch to younger athletes in the volleyball program.
