Senior Kameron Burton Selected as an NC A&T Dowdy Scholar
WJHS Senior, Kameron Burton, has been chosen as a North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T) 2019 Lewis & Elizabeth Dowdy Scholar Recipient. Kameron has been a very active part of WJHS for the past 4 years. He serves on many committees throughout the school and is an active member and leader of many clubs. Kameron is in the top 2% of our 2019 graduating class and is a dynamic member of West Johnston's community, both in and out of the classroom.
The Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholars Enrichment Program is the premier undergraduate merit scholarship at North Carolina A&T State University. The program provides a four year renewable scholarship that includes tuition and related fees, room and board to incoming freshmen only who plan to enroll in the upcoming Fall semester. This enrichment program invests in students with extraordinary potential to be the transformational leaders of their generation. The program is highly competitive, open to all disciplines, and provides access to the best North Carolina A&T State University has to offer their students.
