WJHS SADD Club named 2018 SADD Chapter of the Year
The West Johnston SADD club attended the 2018 SADD Conference on November 16-18, 2018. The SADD Club and Joco Teen Drivers have worked diligently on various projects throughout the year to win the 2018 SADD Chapter of the Year award. West Johnston has won this award for the past four years. Additionally, one of the club's members, Nicholas Wilson, won the SADD Student of the Year award for his work and commitment on the state advisory board and his dedication to West Johnston's chapter. WJHS had two students who served on the State SADD Student Advisory Board this year: Nicholas Wilson and Romario Crisanto. They used many hours of their free time to plan a successful and engaging conference. SADD advisor Amanda Fisher had this to say about the club's fourth win: "The key to my club's success is that we set a goal to complete two activities a month; we do more when we are able, but we always stay focused as a team and work toward achieving this initial objective with a high level of commitment." Ms. Fisher and West Johnston are extremely proud of the SADD Club members. Congratulations to the Chapter and Nich Wilson on a job well done!
