JCPS Preschool Applications Open Now
Johnston County Public Schools 2022-2023 Preschool Applications are ready for your students that will be 3 or 4 years old on August 31, 2022. North Carolina does not have universal Preschool, therefore you do have to apply and qualify for one of our Preschool slots.
JCPS Preschool Application will be available until capacity has been reached or May 20, 2022. Notifications will be done after May 20th. If you need assistance please use one of the following documents:

We ask that you keep the following things in mind when applying:
- If your child is currently enrolled and being served in one of our JCPS Preschool Classrooms, and they will still be of preschool age (3-4 years old on August, 31 2022) in the 2022-2023 school year, they do not have to reapply for the 2022-2023 school year.
- If your child is currently enrolled and being served in one of our JCPS Preschool Classrooms, and they will be 5 on or before August 31st, they do not have to enroll in kindergarten, they will be transferred automatically.
Partnership for Children of Johnston County NC PreK's Application is also now live: Your child MUST be 4 by August 31, 2022 and meet other eligibility requirements as set by the state to qualify. Those interested in NC PreK can apply online. If you have any questions or need assistance filling out the application, please call the Partnership at 919-975-2522. NC PreK placements and application is run through the Johnston County Partnership for Children, not Johnston County Public Schools.
