Important Information About At Home Learning During School Closure

As you are aware, per Governor Cooper's Executive Order, schools will remain closed until May 15.  At this time, there is an online repository of student learning opportunities on the website to keep students engaged.  That information can be found  here

The extended learning opportunities that are posted require the use of a device such as a computer. If you do not have a device at home, yet have access to wifi (a wireless internet connection), the school will loan you a device during this time of extended learning .  Parents may pick up a device for their students on Thursday, March 26 during the following times : 8-9. 12-1, or 4-5 Devices will be distributed through the carpool line. Parents and students will sign a JCPS Technology User Agreement before receiving the device.

Secondly, For those families that do not have access to the internet and therefore can not use a device, bi-weekly packets of extended learning opportunities will be available for parents to pick up.  This first initial packet distribution will occur this Thursday, March 26 from: 8-9, 12-1, or 4-5. After this week, new bi-weekly packets of extended learning opportunities will be ready for pick up outside of the gym door every Friday starting with April 24th.

Thirdly, the majority of our teachers will be communicating through Class Dojo.  It is imperative that you check this frequently. If you are not connected to Class Dojo, please reach out to your teacher to obtain this code.

Also, I know many of you might be inquiring about how to obtain field trip refund money, picture and/or yearbook money, as well as Animal Ambassadors money. We are working on a plan to get these funds to you and will hopefully be able to return these monies to you within the next two weeks.
