All students will be on remote learning instead of attending school on November 23rd and 24th, and there will be no school for all students on November 25th, 26th, and 27th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
In order to effectively plan for the second semester of the school year, each PreK-12th grade parent is required to complete a Second Semester Choice Form for each student in the household. This form will ask parents to select whether you would like to participate in virtual or face to face instruction for the second semester, and to select transportation needs for the semester. This form will assist your child’s school to plan for the second semester which begins on January 4, 2021. The form is now active on district and school websites and can also be found on the district social media platforms. There is updated information on the district website regarding frequently asked questions to assist you in making your selection. It is very important that this form is completed no later than November 30.
Monday, 11/23 and Tuesday, 11/24 are Remote Learning days. Students will not be coming to school for Face-to-Face instruction.
The Spartan boys and girls Cross Country teams defeated North Johnston on Monday to open their season. Alex Topoly and Teagan Farrell both posted 1st place finishes with Davis Schmidt and Elizabeth King taking second place honors. In fact, the Spartans took the top 5 places in both the boys and girls races. Next, the Spartan harriers will match up with West Johnston this Wednesday at home.
The Spartans Cross Country team competed against West Johnston on 11/18. The boys team fell 18-45, but got season best performances from Alex Topoly who finished 3rd, Roman Pena, Javier Martinez, and Callum Foster.
