Students From Denmark Visit Smithfield-Selma High School
On October 12, 2018, 15 Danish students with two of their teachers visited Smithfield-Selma High School (SSS). This visit is part of an exchange program between the Denmark and the SSS International Baccalaureate (IB) program in which students have the opportunity to experience a different school and cultural environment.
Before arriving, the Danish students traveled to Washington, DC. where they toured the monuments, including the Holocaust museum. On Friday, October 12, the visitors attended a group dinner with SSS students and teachers at the Clayton restaurant, La Cocina (see cover photo). They also watched the football game between SSS and Cleveland High School.

Over the weekend, the Danes stayed with their host families. The students gathered for a big Halloween bonfire on Saturday night. Sunday they attended church, visited family and did some shopping (each student did something different with their host family).
