2022 - 2023 Smithfield Middle School Athletes of the Year

Awarded to the male and female athlete who demonstrated spirit, teamwork, and perseverance in Smithfield Middle sports as well as excellence in the classroom.

The female athlete of the year - Kaliyah Milden - *th Grade/Year 3

Kaliyah was on the fall & winter cheerleader team and a member of the girls' track team; she was also part of other clubs at school. She was a leader on each of the teams she participated in and did exceptionally well in the classroom.

 
The male athlete of the year - Noah Jeter - 8th Grade/Year 3
 
Noah was on the football, basketball, & boys' track team; he was also part of the 8th grade band.  Noah worked hard all year to improve on the field and on the court. Noah was also a great student and was able to maintain good grades while participating in sports.
