Third Graders Learn About State and Local Government.

Third Grades at SES worked on a Social Studies Research Project about the structure and function of state and local government.

Honorable Selma Mayor Byron McAllister visited our school and was interviewed by student leaders from each homeroom.

The project was guided by the following questions:

Compelling Question: Who can make a difference?

Supporting Question 1: Are all governments the same?

Supporting Question 2: How do different governments solve problems across North Carolina?

Supporting Question 3: What do we think could be improved in our community?
