Selma Elementary School Spelling Bee

2nd Place Kelsey Rhinehart, 1st Place Winner Stacey Rojas Selma Elementary hosted it's annual spelling bee for fourth graders on Thursday, December 13. After each fourth grade homeroom held their own spelling bee, the final two spellers from each class were selected to represent the class at the schoolwide event in the auditorium. Spellers proudly took their places on the stage and impressed the judges throughout each. The competition was tough, but eventually, only two spellers remained, Kelsey Rhinehart and Stacey Rojas. SES is proud of each and every contestant, who humbly spelled even the most difficult words with smiles and pride. Every student showed great sportsmanship and support of their peers, graciously cheering on the others even after their own elimination. Stacey Rojas will represent Selma Elementary at the JCPS Elementary Spelling Bee in 2019 and SES is so proud of her! (Pictured: 2nd Place Kelsey Rhinehart, 1st Place Winner Stacey Rojas)
