Camilya Jones named Classified Employee of the Month
There are people who lead from behind the scenes. These are the people who make things happen and who never seek credit or recognition. These are the doers and the shakers, the multitaskers, the visionaries, and the worker bees. These are the people who make the world a better place and the work environment proactive, productive, and purposeful.
These people are few. These people are the ones you wish you could clone, but you recognize they are exceptionally unique.
One such example is Camilya Jones, Johnston County Public Schools District Textbook and Resource Manager.
Ms. Jones is a collaborative and supportive employee who takes the time to determine the specific learning resources needed for the students to be successful.
She collaborates with school leaders, staff, and district personnel, but she also takes initiative to get the job done. She does not have to be told what to do or how to do it; she just does it.
Her primary focus is ensuring students have the learning tools they need without delay and excuse. She has ordered, organized, and delivered textbooks and resources as if she is a team of ten people. She delivers her services with a smile.
Her fierceness and tenacity is admirable, but her service, care, and concern for others is commendable. She exemplifies the quote from Lao Tzu, “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say; we did it ourselves.”
