Swift Creek Middle is 2022 Battle of the Books Champions

Swift Creek Middle won 1st place at 2022 Battle of the Books. The team also went on to earn 3rd Place Regional Winner. 

Team members include: Sarah Caicedo, Tovi Capps, Dominic Carter, Levi Chilcote, Every Eaton, Ashly Farish, Maddie Gwyn, Kattie Keen, Xander Monserrate, Aubree Smith, Ella Springer, and Sarah Stanley. They were coached by Valerie Kinney.

Battle of the Books is a competition among area schools that is designed to encourage reading. Students prepare by reading several novels, discussing them at club meetings, and then answer questions at the competition.
