Deadline approaching for Transportation for 2021-22 School Year

The deadline is quickly approaching for Johnston County Public Schools families who need transportation for their students during the 2021-2022 school year.

Students who will be attending Early College or Career Technical Leadership Academy, which will begin on August 2nd, have until July 22nd to request transportation. Transportation may be requested by contacting the Early College or Career and Technical Leadership Academy directly. Students at these schools who have changed addresses will also need to update their information with the school in order to receive an accurate bus assignment.

Students who will begin school on August 23rd have until August 2nd to request transportation. This date is for all other JCPS Schools on the traditional school calendar. Transportation may be requested by contacting the student’s assigned school. Students at these schools who have changed addresses will also need to update their information with the school in order to receive an accurate bus assignment.

Families only need to contact the student’s school to request transportation if:
Their student was enrolled in the virtual program last year but will need transportation this year
Their family has moved or there has been a change in address for the student
Their student didn’t need transportation last year but will need transportation for the 2021-2022 school year

Families are encouraged to contact the student’s schools as soon as possible to update any transportation needs.Transportation is not guaranteed on the first day of school if the information is not provided prior to the deadline.Transportation requests will be assigned in the order in which they are received. Due to the high volume of requests at the beginning of the school year, it may take up to 5 school days to be assigned to a bus.
