This week between the Riverwood and Swift Creek Girls and Boys Basketball games, Riverwood Middle School announced the dedication of their gym to long time Johnston County and Riverwood Middle School Principal, Phil Lee. Riverwood Middle School Principal, Sharon Bryant, introduced the new name of the gym, "Phil Lee Gymnasium." Dr. Kerry Evans, Swift Creek Middle School Principal, shared how Phil Lee impacted her life when she served as his Assistant Principal. The late Mr. Lee served in Johnston County Public Schools from 1991- 2015 and as the Riverwood Middle School Principal from 2004 - 2015. The formal Dedication Ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 1:30 pm. We are grateful for Mr. Lee and the legacy he left in our community.
