It's all fun and games when learning metric measurement!

metric olympics   Recently students in 6th grade science participated in the Metric Olympics to learn more about the metric system of measurement. Some of the events were the straw javelin throw, the 5 finger grab (measure the mass of a handful of marbles), cottonball shot put, and the 5 finger squeeze (measuring the volume of liquid in a cylinder). Students had a lot of fun participating in the Olympic games while practicing metric measurement.
