Asynchronous Days/Seventh Grade Immunization

Good Evening Raven’s Families! This is Sharon Bryant, Principal of Riverwood Middle with a few important announcements.

We hope that you have had an opportunity to review your child’s current academic progress with them based on their report cards for the first quarter. Teachers are in the process of scheduling parent, teacher, and student conferences for any student that failed one or more classes during quarter one. Teachers will also update you on your child’s current progress as we approach our third week into quarter two.

Tuesday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 4 will be asynchronous for Riverwood Middle School students. Teachers will utilize these times for parent conferences. Tutoring will continue to be on Wednesday at normal scheduled times.

We want to remind our face to face students that they are still required to attend live sessions on the days they are remote learning. Teachers have noted that some students attending face to face are no longer attending the live sessions. Please remember that live sessions are held daily except on Wednesdays and students are expected to login and complete their asynchronous assignments.

Parents/Guardians of all seventh grade face to face students. If you have not submitted your child’s current required Tdap and Meningococcal Immunizations, your child will not be permitted to attend face to face sessions beginning Monday, November 2 until immunization has been completed. Your child will need to attend virtual sessions beginning Monday, November 2 if immunizations have not been completed.

As always thanks for your continued support as we work together to ensure both social and emotional needs and academic needs of our students are being met during these times.
