Welcome to our 1st Grade Team Erica Jordan!

Hello River Dell Family, 

My name is Erica Jordan. I will be one of the new 1st grade teachers this year. 

I originally came from Thailand.  I received a bachelor's degree (English/Psychology) and a master's degree (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from Payap University, Thailand. 

Recently, I earned an MAT degree (Elementary Education, K-6) from UNC at Chapel Hill. 

Before moving to the U.S., I taught English to non-native speaking students at a Thai private university for almost 5 years.  Then, I relocated to Germany where I was a substitute teacher at an International School for a couple of years. 

I worked as an assistant teacher at a NC pre-K program for almost a year here in Clayton. 

Also, I recently completed my student teaching residency in the Wake County Public School System. 

Besides teaching, I enjoy reading, painting, hiking, and camping.  My husband and I have three amazing children and one cute dog. 

I am very excited about joining the 1st Grade Dream Team at River Dell!
