Princeton High School students attended a day long session at the Belk Theater in Charlotte with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the Hamilton Education Program on November 1st. In preparation for the trip, students completed a project using research and primary sources from the time period in which Alexander Hamilton lived. The day included a morning session featuring student performances of original pieces by students from several of the high schools in attendance. Three Princeton students, Katie Beth Leslie, Haylie Heller and Buddy Moore, performed a song about the Bill of Rights. Students also participated in a Question and Answer session with cast and crew from Hamilton. The highlight of the day was a special matinee performance of the Broadway musical Hamilton.
