Our Student Leadership Team encouraged students and staff to show thier support for Red Ribbon Week. Each day, students and staff were asked to dress up to show that Polenta Elementary students support a drug-free life.
Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Since that time, the campaign has reached millions of U.S. children and families. The National Family Partnership (NFP) and its network of individuals and organizations continue to deliver his message of hope to millions of people every year, through the National Red Ribbon Campaign™.
At Polenta Elementary, students and staff raised awareness for the National Red Ribbon Campain. On Monday everyone "Teamed up against drugs" and wore your favorite sports team's shirt. For Tuesday, students and staff were "Dreaming Of A Drug Free World" and wore Pajamas. On Wednesday, we had a lot of crazy hair styles and some fun, crazy hats for "Go wild about a drug-free future." OnThursday, students and staff "Defeated drugs" by wearing superhero merchandise. For Friday, everyone showed their Puma spirit by wearing purple and yellow to show that we are "Proud to be a drug-free school."
