Announcements 5-18-22

The lady panthers won in their first playoff game last night, 1-0 against, Midway. The goal was scored by Johanna Morales. The player of the game was Ana Rosales. Their overall record is now 15-4. They host the second round of playoffs Thursday. Congratulations, this is the first time in North Johnston  history for women's soccer to host two rounds of playoffs. Come out Thursday to support the lady panthers as they take on East Carteret. 

Graduates, the baccalaureate service is this Sunday, May 22nd, at Kenly Missionary Baptist Church. The service starts at 6:30, but you need to be there by 6:00 if you would like to participate. Wear your cap and gown, and enjoy being recognized at this special service. See Mrs. Brown if you have any questions.

All FFA members attending FFA Camp in June need to meet in Mr. Capps’ room Wednesday for an informational meeting.  If you can not attend, please see one of the advisors as soon as possible.

The NJHS Chorus presents “A Night at the Beach,” featuring music from Moana and Teen Beach Movie, on Monday, May 23rd at 7:00 pm.  We will begin with a Senior Preshow at 6:30 pm.  Everyone is invited.  Admission is Free. 

Any female athletes interested in trying out for the Lady Panther basketball team next year, and does not have a summer workout schedule yet, should see Coach Poole in the PE office to pick up a schedule and requirements to participate.

Anyone interested in Cheerleading, please sign up today during remediation in the new gym with Coach Argott.

Any young man or woman that is interested in playing tennis next year, please stop by Coach Anderson’s office to get a summer workout calendar.

The Athletic Awards will be Friday, May 20, 2022 in the new gym at 6:00 pm.  There is no cost.  Please dress to impress and come celebrate a year in NJHS sports!  

Students, you will need to bring your school issued chromebook fully charged for exams. If you are having issues with your school-issued chrome book please see Mr. Syverson or Mrs. Howell in the Media Center before next Thursday.

Students will return Chromebooks after their last exam is completed. Do not forget to bring your charger on that day. More information will be provided in the coming days.

Seniors, the yearbook staff sent an email requesting a kindergarten picture from you, or a picture from around that age, for a special page in this year’s yearbook. Pictures were due yesterday, but we are extending the deadline to Friday, the 20th.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Fry or a yearbook staff member.
