Mr. Avery's 7-13 Message Concerning Graduation 2020

Good evening Panther Families.

This is a message from NJHS about our graduation.

Based on guidance from the Johnston County Health Department and taking into consideration the growing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county in recent weeks, the original plan to host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies will not be possible.

We have been advised that the safest feasible way for schools to hold graduation ceremonies will be to hold drive-through/drive-in graduations.

North Johnston will hold its drive-thru graduations on July 30th and July 31st in the auditorium.  Each graduate is allowed to bring 6 guests that would like to see the graduation.

We will post graduates' scheduled graduation times on our school website and social media platforms no later than Tuesday, July 14 along with more specific information and instructions for the ceremony.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Cars should enter from Watson Road and follow the driveway to the auditorium and park in the bus parking lot. Families will be directed by staff when to enter the Main Auditorium Entrance.

Please know that NJHS and the district have made every effort to hold a traditional graduation for our students. However, student safety and the safety of our communities is our number one priority. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we move forward with marking this momentous occasion for our seniors.

Thank you.

Have a good evening!
