A survey was sent via text to students to determine if they need a device to complete supplementary work. We will post the short survey on the school’s website for students no later than Monday, March 23 to collect the remaining data. Parents, please ask students to complete the survey if they have not completed at this time. Parents and students can sign out devices curbside at our temporary front entrance on Thursday, March 26 from 9-11 am. Students who do not have internet access can pick up work packets for their class at this time as well. The folders for the work in google classroom, school net, or canvas will be posted on the NJHS school’s website on Thursday, March 26. Students are expected to start working on Monday, March 30th.
Many dual-enrolled students have done no additional work in the CCP courses since JCPS closed, and I want to ensure that students understand to continue working in the online platform that JCC instructors are using. JCC is communicating with all CCP students via their JCC email accounts.
Some of the courses offered in our high schools are governed by organizations other than JCPS, and new content instruction is ongoing in these courses. Instruction will continue for students enrolled in courses through College and Career Promise (CCP); Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and North Carolina Virtual Public School (NVPS). Instructors for those courses are determining assignments and how they will be graded.
