The Lady Panther basketball team took a 78-42 loss at No. 1 state ranked Farmville Central last night. However in the loss, Arial Pearce scored a career high 29 points. She was joined in the scoring by Mackenzie Gibson with 7, and Jessie Gross, Nakiya Blue, and Imoni Hines with 2 each. Next up for the Panthers is North Pitt Friday at Home.
JCC will host a parent/student information session for students interested in taking CCP courses. It will take place on Tuesday, February 11 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Wilson Building at JCC,
JCC will host a CCP Expo on Thursday, February 20, from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Tart Lobby at JCC. Students interested in CCP should plan to attend.
Are you wanting to explore career options? Well…CTE will be hosting a district career fair, Thursday, Feb 20 at Smithfield-Selma High School. Any junior or senior that is interested in going, please see Mrs. Lippert in room 408 for a permission form.
Attention Juniors: When you take the ACT next month, you’ll be able to send your scores to four colleges at no cost! You have just over a week to determine those colleges - so start making your decisions now!

The ROTARIANS AGAINST DRUGS SPEECH COMPETITION is coming up in March. Any student interested in giving a speech on ““What Must Be Done To Prevent Drug and Alcohol Abuse in the United States” should let one of their teachers know. Teachers, please forward student names to Mr. Avery.
The Keystone Leadership Institute is for seniors planning to attend JCC in the fall. You must have a 3.0 GPA and participate in speaking engagements and community service events. A link to the application can be found on the scholarship page of our school website. As a Keystone Leader you will receive a full-paid tuition for fall and spring.
HOSA will be having a meeting on today during A Lunch in Mrs. Oliver’s room. Please try to attend.
Seniors: Please check your school email for a Senior Superlatives Ballot for your class. Superlatives will be announced at Senior Luau in May. Make your nominations through the email form. Questions? - see Mrs. Fry or a yearbook staff member.

The history department is planning a trip for juniors to Bentonville Battleground to see a Civil War Reenactment on March 21. Only 40 students will be able to go. See any history teacher for info.
Prom tickets are on sale! Ticket prices for seniors - $50.00, juniors and outside guests $75.00. To purchase see Mrs. Lippert or Coach Anderson in room 408. Prices will go up March 2nd.
