Announcements 9-4-19

Students that drive to school should purchase a parking pass by Monday, September 9. After September 9, you will not be allowed to drive on campus.

 

There will be no money collected for the PSAT on Friday, September 6. Money will be accepted on Thursday, September 5 and all of next week.

 

Congratulations to the Lady Panthers Tennis team on their 8 to 1 victory over Beddingfield. Winning their singles matches were Arial Pearce, Samantha Davis, Alexia Dixon, Mayelly Oliveros, Sarah Batten, and Ashley Bunn. Winning their doubles matches were the teams of Pearce/Davis and Oliveros/Bunn. The win improves their record to 5 and 1 overall, and 1 and 0 in conference play. 

 

Congratulations to the Ladies golf team on a great effort yesterday. Team members are Traclyn Clark, Victoria Crocker, Alexis Gupton, and Ashton Huddleston. Clark, Gupton and Huddleston all shot a personal best. Clark also shot the second best round of the tournament. Again great job to these young ladies.

 

All female athletes interested in trying out for girls basketball should see Coach Poole in the gym this week for try out dates, paperwork to fill out, and workout opportunities.

 

Attention Freshmen and Sophomores – The North Carolina School of Science & Mathematics will be on campus September 19th.  If you are interested in learning more about this educational opportunity, please visit student services to sign up.

 

Students are reminded that you are to remain in your area during lunch. Students are not allowed to move from the area once you find your spot. Students may not line up at the cafeteria doors or in the courtyard or patio areas. The bell will dismiss you from cafeteria areas. 

 

Students should be reminded to pick up your trash and dispose of it in the closest trash can available in your cafeteria area. Students should not leave trash on the tables or along the walls in the dining areas. 

 

Students should have a pass if they are going to the cafeteria and returning to a classroom with their lunch.

 

It’s time to register for the PSAT! Students who are interested in taking the PSAT on October 16 must register between September 4 and September 16. Forms can be obtained from Mrs. Davis in Student Services. Forms will also be available on our website. Cost is $17.

 

Attention Seniors: Johnston County Electric Line Worker Pre-Apprenticeship application is now open! If you are interested in applying, please see Mrs. Lippert in room 408.

 

The HOSA club is meeting for the first time this year on September 10th during B Lunch in Mrs. Oliver’s room 606. If you are interested in Health Occupations, be there!  

 

The NHS Officer Application is available online.  All applications are due TODAY at 2:45.

 

Yearbook pictures for Freshmen and Sophomores will be taken on Wednesday, September 11th, and yearbook pictures for Juniors will be taken on Thursday, September 12th.

 

SENIORS:  Make-up pictures for yearbook will be on September 11th and 12th during Panther Time. You will not need an appointment.  See Mrs. Fry in room 204 if you have any questions.

 

 If you are staying for Evening Academy, please report to room 204 after school.
