Congratulations to the Lady Panthers softball team on their 4-0 win over Bertie High School last night in the 2nd round of the State Playoffs. Amberlyn Pearce pitched the complete game, striking out 11 baters and only giving up 2 hits. Offensively, Lindsey Massengill went 2 for 3 and Blayke Batten went 1 for 3 while driving in 3 of the 4 Panther runs. The Lady Panthers will host the winner of tonight’s game between Greene Central and Currituck County next week in the third round of the State Playoffs!
The North Johnston High School Panther Players are performing and hosting a Dinner Theater ‘Murder Mystery’ THIS WEDNESDAY the 15th at 6pm. Tickets are $12.50 (that includes a three course meal), see Mrs. Kiser to purchase!
Please dismiss the track teams today (Friday) at 11:30 for their regional meet. An email was sent listing the names of athletes going to regionals.
Congratulations to the Baseball team on their 9 - 1 victory over North Pitt Wed, night. The Panthers collected 11 hits on the night. Leading the way was Ilmar Ramirez who had three hits. Others with two hits were Daylan Hinnant, Avery Pearce, and Garrison Radford. On the mound, the trio of Avery Pearce, Dylan Pitts, and Seth Coats allowed only one run on two hits. With the win, the Panthers travel to Currituck to play in the second round of the state tournament. Again congratulations to the young men.

Athletes: Mark your calendars! Spring athletic awards are May 13th at 6:00 pm in the new gym.
All Juniors wanting to play football next year need to report to coach Barnett’s room (603) during A Power lunch Friday May 10th.
The Herff Jones representative will deliver official class rings on Friday, May 17th during all lunches in the Auditorium Lobby. Please remember to bring your personal balance due. Only cash or money order accepted on delivery day.
Any student wishing to order their official class ring may do so at that time by bringing a deposit of $80.00 for Ultrium or $125.00 for all other metal qualities.
Senior Dance Tickets are still on sale. Please see Ms. Fry to purchase your ticket. The dance is Saturday night May 18th. Tickets are $15.00.
Juniors with money for the Senior Trip, please see Ms. Fry before 11am. There are still 10 seats available on the first bus.
