Announcements 3-13-19

Congratulations to the Men’s Tennis team on their 7 to 1 victory over Beddingfield yesterday. Winning their singles matches were Hunter Jones, Scott Sellers, Graham Walston, Brandon Peedin, and Carsse Lucas. Winning their doubles matches were the teams of Michael Barnes/Sellers, Jones/Walston, and Peedin/Lucas. They are 1 and 0 in conference play. Their next match is tomorrow at FarmVille Central.



Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team on their 6-1 victory over Smithfield Selma last night. The panthers collected 11 hits. They were led by Tucker Batten who had 3 hits. Ty Narron, Seth Coats, and Garrison Radford all had 2 hits a piece. On the mound the duo of Dylan Pitts and Avery Pearce pitched 2 hit baseball while only allowing one run. The panthers are in action again Wednesday as they travel to play South Johnston. Again great job to these young men.

 

Congratulations to the Showcase of Stars Chorus members for an outstanding performance on Saturday night!  

 

Congratulations to Lady Panther basketball player Jordyn Scott. She was selected as the  Defensive Player of the Year for all Johnston County Schools by the Joco Preps website. Jordyn averaged over 6 steals per game and had over 91 deflections on the year.

Congratulations to Jessica House who won the Sportsmanship award at this weekend’s Brittany Soccer tournament!

 

The Pi Day 5K is this Saturday!!! Thank you all that have signed up to support Cystic Fibrosis Research.  It’s not too late to register. See Mrs. Kidd in room 501. All those registered are invited to eat PIE on Friday in Mrs. Gray’s room during lunches.

 

Thursday is Pi Day!  And Einstein’s Birthday!  Wear some CRAZY Hair and your Pi Shirt, you can even make your own!

 

Prom ticket prices  are $75 for seniors, $100 for juniors and outside guests. See Mrs. Lippert or Mrs. Hudson to purchase your tickets. Tickets are on sale until March 25th.
