PreACT for Sophomores

In North Carolina, all tenth-graders take the PreACT. This assessment measures what students have learned in their courses, helps educators identify the information that students still need to learn to succeed in college or a career, and helps students prepare for the ACT. All ECA sophomores will take the PreACT through a pencil-and-paper format on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11:00-4:00.

Parents, please see the letter at this link (also shared with your students on paper) for more information.

Students, if you will miss a college class due to testing, please share this letter with your instructor as soon as possible. Please note that students must follow the attendance policy for JCC classes as noted on each class syllabus. Students should communicate with JCC instructors prior to missing class to determine if make-up assignments are an option for a missed class.

If you have any questions, please contact our testing coordinator, Melody Casey.
