End of Year Close Out Procedures for Students & Staff
Good evening Cooper Academy families! This is Mr. Stoke calling to share some important end of year information. The last day of virtual school takes place on May 29th. We are planning staggered dates/times for curbside pick-up and drop-off of items at the school on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We are also planning carpool graduation parades to celebrate our preschool, kindergarten and 5th grade graduates on June 1st & 2nd. Graduation Carpool Parades will take place in the back of the building around mobile unit classrooms by the STEAM playground. Students will pick-up personal belongings and return chromebooks and library books in their vehicles next to the walkway by the STEAM room as vehicles pull around the mobile units. Students who have ordered yearbooks will receive these during the pick-up/drop-off dates from their homeroom teachers. All other grade levels will be cheered on to celebrate their accomplishments this year during the carpool pick-up/drop-off process. All students and parents are asked to remain in their vehicles during this process. Staff will be following all CDC guidelines.
Stop by the main office if you need to collect any student medications from June 1st through June 10th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
If you cannot attend the designated date/time for your child’s grade level please stop by the school for pick-up/drop-off on June 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, or 10th from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm at the front of the school notifying the main office. It is critical for our school to receive all chromebook devices, their chargers, and library books back on these dates to complete our inventory in preparing for the 2020-2021 school year. Final student report cards will be mailed out to families on June 10th. Please notify the school if your address is incorrect in our PowerSchool database.
Our final virtual PTA Board meeting for the 2019-2020 school year is being held on Tuesday, May 19th at 4:00 pm. Please check out the PTA Facebook page for sign-in information for the meeting.
