Apply to Serve on the Cooper Academy Advisory Council

Cooper Academy has one opening on its Advisory Council for the 2019-2020 school year.  The primary purpose of the Advisory Council is to serve in an advisory capacity to the principal on matters that affect the school and to provide a means for stakeholders to have an integral part in the decision-making process at the school.  Advisory Council members can be parents, grandparents, or guardians.  In addition, two members may be at-large community members.  We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated community and school involvement.  The Advisory Council meets once per academic quarter (4 to 6 times per school year).  Individuals who are interested may send a letter of interest, resume, and the Profile Form to:

Cooper Academy

Attn: Jamie Stoke, Principal

849 N. Mial Street

Clayton, NC 27520

Interested candidates can also stop by the school to drop off the required information.  The school will provide candidates access to the Advisory Council Candidate Profile Form.

Feel free to attend any of our school-based scheduled Advisory Council Meetings at Cooper Academy.  They are scheduled to start at 5:30 pm on each date.  There are also special Johnston County Public Schools event held throughout the year for our Advisory Council Members.
