General Announcements

Tuesday is Spring Picture Day. Teachers, please check the Google classroom post from last week about your scheduled time and adjust your schedules as needed. No money is needed at this time. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Meese

Tuesday is picture day. Teachers, please be in your located at the time listed as we are on a tight schedule. There are no make ups for this and no money is needed at this time.

Yearbooks are on sale now. Order yours today! Postcards were mailed home last week. See the information on the postcard to place your order.

The winners of Round 1, Part 1 of March Book Madness are Wildfire by Rodman Philbrick and Nowhere Boy by Katherine Marsh.

Club Announcements

Jr. Beta Club Members - Please remember to turn in your Gabriel Manor applications to Mrs. Kelley in rm. 122. All grades and signatures need to be in ink and your name listed on the application. Applications are due no later than March 18th to be considered for the field trip.

SGA officers and homeroom representatives should meet in Mrs. Renfrow's class (603) after announcements on Wednesday

CvMS Arts Announcements

Congratulations to the Varsity Winterguard on their first place finish at the WGI Richmond Regional on Saturday!

Winterguard rehearsal will start in the cafeteria Monday after school.

Winterguard practice has been cancelled for Friday.

Athletic Announcements

Congratulations to the Lady Rams Softball team on a strong 4-0 shut-out over Clayton Middle School yesterday afternoon!!!!! The knock-out battery of Lainey Pennica at the mound and Amber Faulkner behind the plate kept Clayton to 4 base runners total in the game, with 10 strike outs recorded. Amazing defensive plays were also made by Mackenzie Collins at short stop and Savannah Morgan at 2nd base! Center fielder Claire Herman and left fielder Claire Ferrell each racked up two runs for the Lady Rams, both showing amazing execution at the plate and heads-up running on the base paths.  This Thursday, the Lady Rams will defend their 2-0 winning streak at Riverwood Middle School. Come support your Lady Rams next Tuesday, March 17 as they host Archer Lodge Middle School at home at 415 pm! GO RAMS!

Congratulations to the girls soccer team on a 4 to 0 win over Clayton yesterday. Scoring for the lady Rams were Samantha Cowell with three goals and Grace Kelighley with one. Great overall Win!

Congratulations to the baseball team on their 9-1 win over Clayton Middle. Starting on the mound for the Rams was Zalin Ingram. He pitched 2 innings giving up 1 run, no hits and striking out 4. Cannon Lee pitched 3 innings. He gave up 2 hits, 0 walks, and struck out 6. Nick McIntosh closed out the game for the Rams. He pitched 2 innings, gave up 0 hits, 0 walks, and struck out 2. At the plate, the Rams tallied 9 hits with Cannon Lee and Kaden Morris each having multiple hits. On defense the Rams once again didn't commit a single error. Warren Landreth led the team in chances in the field, throwing out two runners who were trying to steal. With this win the Rams move to 2-0 on the season. Our next home game will be versus Archer Lodge.

Congratulations to the boys track team on their win versus Riverwood, Clayton and Smithfield on Tuesday. Scoring points for the team were Jordan Gulley, Josiah Peters, Jacob Scarboro, Cameron Collins, Cameron Goins, Christian Cabascango, Connor Trullinger, Austin Gower, Zach Hulbert and all three relay teams. Their next meet is at Cleveland High School on March 26.

Congratulations to the girls track team on their second place finish versus Riverwood, Clayton and Smithfield on Tuesday. Scoring points for the team were Jamesha Johnson, Nina Chatman, McKenzie Williams, Jada Gibson, Sara Hamman, Violet Miller, McKayla Lawrence, Kiara Scott, Sydney Connor and all 3 relay teams. Their next meet is at Cleveland High School on March 26.

There will be no track practice Friday. If you ordered anything from the Spirit Pack, you should have received it this morning from your homeroom teacher. If not, please see Mr. Orilio by the end of the day.

Softball, Soccer, and Baseball will all have a short meeting in the gym on Friday mornng during AP.
