General Announcements

February is Black History Month, and the the media center has a challenge for you. Complete the Black History Month Online Scavenger Hunt to receive a bookmark. Your name will also be entered into a drawing to win a Scholastic Book Fair gift certificate! The due date is February 20th. See Mrs. Wamble for details.

Students, did you know that February is American Heart Month? Are you aware that heart disease is the number one cause of deaths worldwide? SGA is partnering with the American Heart Association to raise money that will be used for research to find ways to help people live longer and healthier lives. Be listening all week for ways that you can help support the fight against heart disease

The kick off for the American Heart Association Fundraiser is Friday, Feb. 7. SGA would like to encourage everyone to wear red on Friday in support of National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about heart disease. Wear red and pledge to protect your heart this American Heart Month!

Yearbooks are now on sale. See the information on the posters in the hallways, in your teachers´ Google classrooms and/or on Remind. Postcards will go home later this month. They are $30 each & the last day to order is April 15th. See Ms. Meese with questions

Valentine's Day is coming up!! Be sure to purchase a Valentine Gram from SGA during lunch beginning Friday, Feb. 7 and ending Feb. 13. The cost of each Valentine Gram is $1.00. Each one will include your note and a treat.You must know the homeroom teacher of the student for whom you are purchasing the Valentine Gram. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

Progress Reports for Quarter 3 go home on Friday!

NC Check Ins for Math are Thursday. We will run a two hour delay Testing Schedule.

Club Announcements


CvMS Arts Announcements

Winterguard practice will be held in the gym Monday after school.

Congratulations to all the band students that auditioned for All-District Band on Saturday. Cleveland Middle School had 12 students selected for the bands. We also had three students selected as alternates. We also have three students eligible to audition for All-State Honors Band.

Winterguard practice will be in the cafeteria Wednesday after school.

All-County Band students need to report to the cafeteria Thursday after school.

Athletic Announcements

Congratulations to the Cleveland Middle School Cheerleading Team for representing our school well at their competition on Saturday. They did a perfect routine and demonstrated great sportsmanship. We are proud of you.

Attention all boys and girls interested in trying out for track. All necessary information is posted on the Cleveland Middle School Boys and Girls Track websites. You must have a current sports physical filled out by a doctor and a concussion form filled out by a parent to tryout. Also, all students that wish to tryout must sign up on the website by filling out the Google Form that is posted. Please see or email Mr. Orilio if you have any questions.

The last away basketball game is Thursday at McGees.

Interest meeting for softball and baseball will be Wednesday during AP in the cafeteria. Forms and information are available in the office for those who missed the meeting.
