Morning Announcements 3-04-20

The Winter Sports Athletic Banquet is Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 in the cafeteria. Tickets for Winter Athletes are free. Tickets for all parents & guests are $10.00 each. Tickets will be on sale T-Th in the cafeteria during lunch. 3/5

 

English II students from this and last semester, we are headed to Washington DC.. Our trip is on April 4.  See your student email or English II teacher to sign up to go to the Holocaust Museem and African America History Museum.. This is going to be a great trip in the middle of DC’s Cherry Blossom Festival.. See your teacher today! 03/13

Congratulations to the Lady Rams Soccer team on their 9-0 win over Southern Nash last night bringing their record to 3-0.  With the win the Lady Rams move into the Semifinals of the Neuse River Cup where they will face the winner of the Corinth Holders/Smithfield Selma match.



The Rams were led by Tina El-Amoor with 3 goals and 1 assist (hat trick).  Yaneli Sanchez and Jada Sanders added 2 goals and 1 assist each while Faith Jones and Rosie Venturella each added 1 goal a piece and Nyjah Turner also contributed with 1 assist.  The defense again, did not allow a goal and Keeper Cara Davis had 4 saves while Jillian Brown also had 1 save. It was a complete team effort by your Lady Rams.

The Semifinal Match is scheduled to be played tomorrow at 7pm at East Clayton Community Park.  The cost is $5.00. 03/04

 

Congratulations to the Cleveland Arts Concert Percussion on their performance this past Saturday at the WGI Regional Championships in Richmond, VA.  Among fierce competition, they presented their 2020 production “Touch” and earned another First Place finish in their division! Come watch them perform at their final LOCAL competition on March 14th at West Johnston High School.  Best of luck Cleveland Concert Percussion….we are proud of you!!! 03/04

 

Mark your calendars! It’s almost here, Cleveland FFA’s 3rd annual Ag Fest is coming up on April 4th from 9-1.  Join us with your friends and family for food, games, plant sale, petting zoo, bouncy houses, businesses and more.  03/11

 

Congratulations to the Cleveland Arts World Winds on their Saturday performance at the WGI Regional Championships in Richmond, VA.  After presenting their 2020 production, “Once Upon a Time”, they earned first place in their division! The Cleveland Arts World Winds are currently the highest scoring Winds group in the nation!!  Come watch their final LOCAL performance at West Johnston High School on March 14th.
