CHS Junior Appointed to State Board of Education

CHS Junior, Marcela Villasuso Venegas has been appointed by State Superintendent Catherine Truitt to serve as one of two student advisors to the State Board of Education for this year and next school year! 

Marcela, is a Clayton High School campus leader. She is an honors student taking AP and JCC courses while also being a conference champion tennis player for the Comets. 
"Marcela is a fantastic representative of not only Clayton High School, but of Johnston County Public Schools and students across the state of North Carolina. Marcela embodies the "Comets ALL In" mentality in all that she does, excelling in the classroom, on the tennis courts, throughout the school, and in the community.
